We observed that Qatar's new energy policy is based on a logic of development that takes into account the evolution of its society, its industrialization and energy consumption. The research also concluded that policymakers and Qatari government are becoming more and more aware of the threats reported by environmentalists.

This study uses the EnergyPLAN tool to analyse Qatar's energy system. The model does this by analysing the economic and technical consequences of different resource integration and investments. EnergyPLAN is an input-output model, and its simulation procedures are described in Fig. 4.
