The PV power plant in the desert has a heating effect on the ambient temperature during the day, but the ambient temperature is not a distinct change at night (Broadbent et al., 2019). The characteristic of heating effect is not only presented daily change.
Desert areas benefit from high irradiation levels , and the photovoltaics power potential in these areas exceeds 2100 kWh/kWp . This means only a small area of desert covered by PV modules can potentially cover today's world's need for electricity , and this drives the major installation market to these areas . ... ...
For the PV power plant on the lake, the air temperature at 2 m is increased from 27.71 in the REF site to 27.80 °C in the PV site. The air temperature delta at 10 m in the two sites is 0.05 °C. In brief, there are no obvious effects of the deployment of PV arrays on air temperature at various heights in deserts and lakes.
PV plants in China’s northwestern Gobi Deserts would favor lower evaporation and wind. Local climate effects of PV plants are equivalent to or even greater than projected climate variability. PV-induced climate effects could contribute to improving ecological conditions in Gobi Deserts.
Therefore, the deployment of PV arrays has no impact on the ambient air temperature all year in deserts and lakes according to the observational data. This result is in contract with the Li et al. study that the local temperature will increase in the Sahara Desert by a climate model, but the impact in other deserts is small (Li et al., 2018).
PV-induced climate effects could contribute to improving ecological conditions in Gobi Deserts. In this study, a promising photovoltaic (PV) deployment scenario is firstly designed to represent China’s solar energy development in the context of its dual carbon target.

Cooling Techniques of Solar Photovoltaic Panels: A Critical Review
The water is circulated in these microchannels from upper liquid headers and it dissipates heat from the backside of PV panels integrated with an Aluminum plate and flows to the lower liquid header. The Aluminum plate helps to conduct more heat transfer between the channels and the PV panel. The microchannels have a thermal silica gel coating acting as a …
